Forsyth, Ill. (Sept. 23, 2012) – The North Central College men's golf team finished eighth out of 16 teams at the Millikin University Big Blue Fall Invitational held at Hickory Point Golf Course on Saturday. 

The Cardinals top-four finishers all finished within four shots of each other.  Shane Kunz fired a team-low 78 (19th), with Nick Stavropoulos scoring just behind him with a 79 (26th).  Gavin Corrigan came in tied for 31st after shooting an 80, while Brian Kirhofer shot an 81 (39th). 

North Central's fifth competitor, Nick Muellner came in 60th with an 86. 

College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin foes Carthage College and Millikin came in first and second in the team standings and Carthage's Donnie Langland shot a 70 to win the invitational. 

The men's golf team takes two weeks off from competition before traveling to Woodridge, Ill. for the Benedictine University Eagle Invitational.
