Mar. 25, 2013 - North Central College's Danielle Fiala and Gina Fisher have been recognized as the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference (MWLC) Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, for Mar. 18-24.

Fiala finished with nine goals, four assists, seven ground balls and four caused turnovers in a pair of wins for the Cardinals last week. She tallied four goals, two assists, three ground balls and three caused turnovers in a 17-3 win at Linfield College on March 19. She followed with five goals, two assists, four ground balls and a caused turnover in an 18-3 win over the College of Mount St. Joseph on Mar. 23, the conference opener for both teams. Fiala also had three draw controls between the two games. She is a two-time All-MWLC selection, earning First Team honors in 2012.

Fisher totaled 10 ground balls, nine caused turnovers and 10 draw controls for the Cardinals last week. Against Linfield, She had three ground balls, three caused turnovers and three draw controls. Against Mt St. Joseph, she added seven ground balls, six caused turnovers and seven draw controls. She also finished with six goals and two assists on the week.
