The second half belonged to North Central senior guard Vince Kmiec, who busted the Vikings' zone to the tune of 22 points on 8 of 9 shooting, making 6 of 7 three-point shots. Kmiec sank two three-pointers in an 11-0 surge midway through the period which extended the Cardinals' lead to 63-38. North Central led by at least 23 points the rest of the way.

Kmiec finished with a season-high 30 points, just one short of his career best.
