Jack Burchett and
Charles Rosenberg have been honored with selections to the 2015 All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Teams, as voted upon by the CCIW's eight head coaches.
Burchett was voted to the All-CCIW First Team, while Rosenberg was selected to the Second Team. Both are first-time honorees.
Burchett started all 25 games for the Cardinals this season, putting up 11.4 points and a CCIW-best 8.1 rebounds per game while shooting 58.3 percent from the floor. He put up 12.4 points per game in conference play, ranking first in the CCIW in rebounds (8.3 rpg), fourth in field-goal percentage (.571) and fifth in assists (2.8 apg), and was a two-time CCIW Player of the Week.
He ranks third in school history in career games played (108) and field-goal percentage (.568), eighth in rebounds (657) and ninth in free-throw attempts (356), and is tied with Rosenberg for sixth in career blocked shots (59).
Rosenberg, who has also started all 25 of North Central's games, is the Cardinals' leading scorer at 16.4 points per game and is the CCIW's leader in blocked shots (1.48 per game). He put up 15.0 points and a conference-high 1.64 blocks per game in conference play and also claimed a pair of CCIW Player of the Week awards. He tied the Cardinals' single-game record for blocked shots (6) in a win at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Nov. 29 and his 37 blocks this season are the second-highest total in North Central's history.
Augustana College's Hunter Hill and Illinois Wesleyan University's Dylan Overstreet shared the CCIW's Fred Young Most Outstanding Player Award, while Millikin University's TJ Sims and North Park University's Jordan Robinson shared the Freshman of the Year honor. Augustana head coach Grey Giovanine was selected as the CCIW's Coach of the Year.
The Cardinals (18-7) are the No. 4 seed in this year's CCIW Tournament and will play No. 1 seed and host Augustana College (21-4) on Friday at the Carver Center in Rock Island, with tipoff scheduled for 7:00 p.m. More information can be found on the CCIW's tournament webpage at
