WEST CHICAGO, Ill. (Oct. 7, 2017) -
 The North Central College women's golf team wrapped up the 2017 fall season on Saturday, taking fifth place in a rain-shortened College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Championship at Prairie Landing Golf Club.

The Cardinals posted a 36-hole total of 678 strokes, shooting 343 on Thursday and 335 on Friday, before Saturday's final round was suspended during play due to rain. Illinois Wesleyan University won the CCIW team title with a score of 633, 20 strokes ahead of runner-up Carthage College.

Carthage claimed the individual championship, as Sarah Lyman finished eight strokes ahead of the field with a winning score of 149. Placing fifth and earning All-CCIW honors (the 20th such accolade in North Central history) was the Cardinals' Rainstar Roque, who placed fifth overall with a score of 159.

Maggie Russell shot 170 to place 18th overall, while Gillian Young finished 19th (171), Alex Brummer 29th (179), Brooke Maloney 31st (185) and Brianna Ergastolo 36th (196).
