Raridon Honored as CCIW Player of the Week

- North Central College junior forward Connor Raridon has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 26-Dec. 2, receiving the distinction for the first time in his collegiate career. The CCIW announced its Player of the Week selections on Monday.

Raridon was honored for his contributions to two victories last week. He put up 22 points, 11 rebounds and five assists in a 83-58 win at Finlandia University (Michigan) on Tuesday before contributing 18 points, three rebounds and six assists in a 75-64 win over Millikin University in the Cardinals' first CCIW game of the season on Saturday. He made 14 of 24 field-goal attempts (58.3 percent) and 11 of 12 free throws (91.7 percent) in the two games.

Raridon has been North Central's top scorer in each of the last four games and leads the team in points (20.0 per game), rebounds (7.8), assists (4.6), steals (1.4) and blocked shots (1.2) thus far this season. He is the current CCIW leader in assists per game while ranking third in free-throw percentage (.882) and fifth in points, rebounds and steals.

The Cardinals (5-0, 1-0 CCIW) play the second game of a four-game homestand on Wednesday, hosting Carroll University (2-4, 0-1 CCIW). Tipoff at Gregory Arena is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
