2018-2019 D3hoops.com All-Central Region Teams

Mar. 11, 2019 - North Central College men's basketball student-athlete Connor Raridon has been honored with a selection to the 2018-2019 D3hoops.com All-Central Region First Team, marking the second straight year he has received All-Region recognition. This year's selections were announced Monday. 

A Second Team All-Region pick a year ago and the Central Region's Rookie of the Year as a freshman in 2015-2016, Raridon earned All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) accolades for the third straight year as a unanimous First Team pick this season. 

Raridon led the CCIW in assists per game (5.1), assist-to-turnover ratio (2.57 to 1) and minutes played per game (36.7) this season in helping lead the Cardinals to a 23-6 overall record, the program's fifth CCIW Tournament championship and the Cardinals' fourth straight appearance in the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship. He ranked second in the CCIW in free-throw percentage (.864), fifth in scoring (18.0 points per game) and rebounding (7.3 per game) and seventh in steals (1.1 per game). 

On Dec. 15 in a 69-59 win at Wheaton College, Raridon became the men's basketball program's 27th 1,000-point scorer, and he currently ranks ninth in school history with 1,369 career points. He has been the Cardinals' career leader in assists (486) since midway through the 2017-2018 campaign and ranks third in school history in free throws made (425), fourth in free throws attempted (527), fifth in free-throw percentage (.806) and 10th in rebounds (620). 

North Central has had 15 selections to D3hoops.com's All-Region teams since their inception in 2002. D3hoops.com will announces its annual All-America Teams this weekend in conjunction with its coverage of the Division III Final Four in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
