2021 Vic Godfrey Invite Results
KENOSHA, Wis. (Sept. 3, 2021) – The North Central College women's cross country team went up against teams across all divisions in their debut race of the 2021season, finishing 5th overall at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside Vic Godfrey Open on Friday.
Jenna Fiore was the first Cardinal to cross through the line, completing the 4-kilometer course in 15:26.0 to finish 22nd overall. Julia Benes (15:46.4) and Rachael Vaccaro (15:48.2) finished together in 32nd and 33rd, respectively.
Not far behind Benes and Vaccaro, were Olivia Trask (15:53.1) in 37th-place, Nicole Brandy (15:55.6) in 38th-place, and Natalie Nestler (15:58.5) in 39th-place. Madzia Myrda (16:13.7) rounded out the Cardinals' top-7 finishers in 43rd-place.
The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee won the meet with 45 points, followed by Winona State University's 52 points, not too far ahead of Lewis University's 61 points to place third. Host, University of Wisconsin-Parkside, placed fourth with 80 points, while North Central's 134 points placed fifth, and Marantha Baptist finished sixth with 185 points.
The Cardinals travel to the familiar course, St. James Farm, for the Gill Dodds Invitational, hosted by Wheaton College on Sept. 18. Race time is set for 10 a.m.
