2021-2022 WGCA All-American Scholars

July 5, 2022 - North Central College women's golf student-athletes Tatiana Cooper, Emma McCluskey, Katelynne Rostis and Sarah Tanny have been recognized by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) for commitment to excellence in athletics and academics during the 2021-2022 academic year, each receiving selections to the WGCA's annual All-American Scholar Team.

With 1,485 women's golf student-athletes with a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade-point average to be so recognized nationwide, North Central's honorees are among 265 NCAA Division III representatives receive the distinction and 17 to represent the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW). Rostis, an elementary education major, earns the distinction for the second straight year.

Cooper is a psychology major, while McCluskey is a graphic design student and Tanny is a history education major. Tanny finished 35th at the CCIW Championship in October, while Rostis finished 39th and McCluskey placed 45th. The Cardinals' four honorees matches the 2015-2016 team for the most the program has had in a single year.

Members of the North Central women's golf program have collected 28 All-American Scholar Awards since 2009. The Cardinals open the 2022 fall campaign by taking part in the Carthage College Battle at the Border Sept. 2-3 at Bristol Oaks Country Club.
