Sept. 27, 2022 - Helping her team through a dominating week of competition, North Central College women's soccer forward, Elle Sutter has been honored with her second-consecutive College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Student-Athlete of the Week while the program also climbed to No. 19 in this week's D3soccer and United Soccer Coaches national rankings. The CCIW, D3soccer, and the United Soccer Coaches released their selections on Tuesday.

Sutter totaled four goals this week in the Cardinals' two victories, with her first goal coming late in North Central's 5-0 shutout win over the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh on Wednesday before sending three goals in the 6-1 win over Elmhurst University on Saturday. 

North Central has made its jump in both the D3soccer and United Soccer Coaches national rankings moving up from No. 21 and No. 22, respectively, to being ranked 19th this week. Christopher Newport, Messiah, and Misericordia head the top three spots in both polls again this week. 

The Cardinals were also bumped to the No. 2 rank in the region, after coming in at third rank last week. Calvin still heads the regional ranking while CCIW foe, Illinois Wesleyan trails North Central at No. 3 this week. 

North Central will take this week off to recuperate before hosting the Wheaton College Thunder on Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. inside Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium.
