Sept. 6, 2022 - The North Central College women's soccer team clinched its first College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Student-Athlete of the week award of the 2022 season as Ellie Lochbaum earns the defensive award in week one. 

The junior from Sycamore, Ill. helped the Cardinals climb to their 2-0 record to start the season with a 1-0 win over Aurora University and a 7-0 win over Benedictine University last week. 

In two games, Lochbaum helped anchor the Cardinal defense that held their opponents to 10 shots total with six being on goal. Lochbaum took two shots of her own in those two games, one being on goal and she tallied an assist in the Benedictine shutout. 

The Cardinals are back on the road Wednesday, Sept. 7 as they take on the Dominican University Stars in River Forest, Ill. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m.
