Oct. 20, 2025 - Staying as the No. 1 team in NCAA Divison III, the North Central College football team stays atop both the D3football.com Top 25 Poll and the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Rankings following a 75-0 victory over North Park University on Saturday.

North Central earned 23 of the 25 possible first place votes from D3football.com while capturing all 53 first-place votes in the AFCA poll. The Cardinals earned their third shutout of the season on the way to North Central's 29th straight win over the Vikings, the longest streak of any opponent. The win marked the program's seventh-largest margin of victory in school history.

The Cardinals boast the top scoring offense in the nation at 53.3 points per game and the second-ranked scoring defense in the division, allowing just 6.3 points per game.

North Central improved to 6-0 (5-0 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin) on the year. Trailing the Cardinals in both polls is the University of Mount Union, Johns Hopkins University, Salisbury University, and Bethel University (Minn.). 

The Cardinals welcome Augustana College to Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium for a 1 p.m. kickoff Saturday. North Central has won 18 games in a row over the Vikings, including a 49-10 victory a season ago in Rock Island.
