NEW ORLEANS (Nov. 5, 2025) – Following conference championship weekend, the top-15 teams in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association national coaches' poll held onto their rankings from week six, with the North Central College men's cross country team idling at No. 10.

The Cardinals are coming off their 51
st straight College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Championship win last Saturday, Nov. 1 – an effort that resulted in all 10 runners in candy stripes claiming spots on the All-CCIW first and second teams.

UW-Lacrosse remains the top team in the country, scoring all 10 first-place votes for a total of 300 points. Wartburg College rallied 290 points in the poll to sit second, while Johns Hopkins University trails in third with 280 points. Tufts University and SUNY Geneseo hold onto their top-five rankings, with Tufts 270 points good for fourth and SUNY Geneseo's 260 points sitting fifth. New York University ranks sixth (250), with Williams College in seventh (237), RPI in eighth (231), University of Chicago in ninth (220) and North Central in 10
th (208).

UW-Lacrosse, Wartburg, Johns Hopkins, Tufts, SUNY Geneseo, NYU, RPI, and North Central all won their respective conference titles last weekend.

North Central will have a group racing at the Red/White Invitational tomorrow, Nov. 6, at St. James Farm. The meet will consist of one combined men's and women's race starting at 4 p.m.
