NORMAL, Ill. (Mar. 28, 2025) - Competing at Illinois Central College's Cougar Spring Shootout, the North Central College men's golf team took 14th place at D.A. Weibring Golf Course Friday in an 18-hole competition against 16 schools.

Zachary Lunde led the Cardinals with an 85 (+14) to finish tied for 39th place with Carter Stephenson in a tie for 55th place (87), Jared Moser in a tie for 61st place (88), Nicholas Zaimins in 80th place (92) and Matthew Jachim in a tied for 92nd place (97). As a team, North Central shot 352.

Isaac Molloy of Parkland Community College led the field with a 72 (+1) over 18 holes. Parkland also edged out the host Illinois Central by three strokes to win the tournament with a team score of 310. 

The Cardinals compete in the Illinois Wesleyan University Invitational next weekend. The two-day event will be held at both Ironwood Golf Course (Friday) and Weibring Golf Course (Saturday).
