KENOSHA / LA CROSSE, Wis. (Mar. 8, 2025) – The North Central College men's track and field team sent athletes to Carthage College and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in a bid to improve qualifying times and measurements ahead of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships.
At Carthage College,
Luke Hemmersmeier led the way with a first place mark in the long jump of 6.72 meters (22 feet, 0.75 inches). In the triple jumps,
Jayden Leise marked in at second with 14.18m (46' 6.25"), with
James Ammenhauser snagging fourth (13.86m, 45' 5.75"), and
Kevin Fist taking eighth (13.13m, 43' 1").
The shot put had
Ben Balboa heave a second place measure of 15.72m (51' 7") with
Daniel Dominguez marking just behind in third with 14.76m (48' 5.25"). For weight throws,
Anthony Zajac sent a sixth place mark of 15.72m (51' 7"), with
Martin Egbo following in seventh with 16.11m (52' 10.25").
Kamil Kokot was the lone men's Cardinal competitor at UW-La Crosse in the 60-meter hurdle with a 10th place finish of 8.35 seconds.
The Cardinals now await the final NCAA Division III Indoor Championship qualifying list, which is set for release tomorrow March 9th. Competitors will compete in Rochester, N.Y. beginning March 14th. Access the championship hub
