Women’s Track Competes In Qualifiers Across Midwest

KENOSHA / LA CROSSE, Wis. (Mar. 8, 2025) – The North Central College women's track and field team sent competitors across the Midwest to improve qualifying times ahead of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships.

At Carthage College in Kenosha, the team had Gwen Berenyi launch herself to a first place position in the pole vault with a mark of 3.95 meters (12 feet, 11.50 inches) while Natalie Johnson marked in at fourth with 3.30m (10' 10").  In the triple jump, Abbie Layne took first with 11.68m (38' 4") to improve to second in the program's top ten, while the weight throws had Gabrielle Harding claim sixth with 16.11m (52' 10.25").

The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Final Qualifier saw Lindsey Novak compete for the women taking ninth in 7.76 seconds.

The Cardinals now await the final NCAA Division III Indoor Championship qualifying list, which is set for release tomorrow March 9th. Competitors will compete in Rochester, N.Y. beginning March 14th. Access the championship hub HERE.
