DECATUR, Ill. (Apr. 27, 2025) - Tying their best finish of the season, the North Central College women's golf team took second place in the nine-team field at the two-day Take Back the Night Challenge, hosted by Millikin University.
As a team, the Cardinals shot a 648 (328 & 320) to capture second place. Mallorie Clifton led North Central with a 157 (+13) to tie for fourth place overall. Madison Place shared ninth place by shooting a 162. Anna Meinhart (164, +20) and Aleksa Gizewicz (165, +21) rounded out the team score. Tatiana Cooper shot a 172 over the two days.
DePauw University took the team title with a 622. Medalist Becky Williams led the Tigers with a 147 (+3). Following the Cardinals was Carthage College (652), Spalding University (667), and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (673).
The Cardinals concluded the 2024-25 season at the Take Back the Challenge event. North Central took third place at the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Championship in October. As a team, they shot a 981, the seocnd-lowest 54-hole round in program history.
