ELMHURST, ILL. (Apr. 5, 2025) - The North Central College women's track and field team traveled to Elmhurst University for the Chicagoland Outdoor Championships, where the Cardinals collected four victories.
Lindsey Novak continues to hit new levels early in the season. Novak earned a first-place finish in the 400-meter dash by clocking a time of 55.38 seconds, shaving .01 off her personal record. She continues to rank No. 2 in the program's top ten and now sits at No. 3 in the national rankings. Novak also finished in third place in the 200-meter dash (24.48).
The Cardinals took first and third place in the 10,000-meter run.
Lily Anderson finished the run in 40:08.58, followed closely by
Natalie Nestler (40:52.95). North Central runners
Alayna Lazicki,
Svetlana Uvakova,
Kyra Spencer, and
Elliana Keyes teamed up for the 4-by-100-meter relay and finished in fourth (50.67). Meanwhile, in the 4-by-400-meter relay,
Reilly Boyer,
Cire' Smith,
Alivia Henkel, and
Kyla Miller turned in a 4:10.75 finish, landing in fifth place.
In the field,
Faith Ladin earned first place in the javelin throw with a toss of 42.01 meters (137' 10"). Ladin's throw ranks No. 5 nationally.
Robin Lee closed out the top five with a throw of 34.92 meters (114' 6").
Gwen Berenyi finished first in the pole vault for the second consecutive weekend, clearing 3.85 meters (12' 7.50").
Natalie Johnson took fourth place with a height of 3.40 meters (11' 1.75").
The Cardinals return to action Saturday, Apr. 12, when they travel to Wheaton College's McCully Stadium for the Wheaton College Invitational.
