ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (May 15, 2025) - The North Central College men's track and field team competed at the Midwest Twilight Qualifier, making their final adjustments before the national championships.
Ben Balboa earned a fourth-place finish in shot put with a personal record of 49.15 meters (161'03"). His mark lands him fifth in the program's top ten records.
Daniel Dominguez finished in No. 15 with a toss of 46.25 meters (151'9").
Kamil Kokot clocked a fourth-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles, posting a time of 14.47 seconds.
Connor Riss and
Colton Oleson each earned fifth-place finishes in their respective events, Riss in the 1,500-meter run (3:51.43) and Oleson in the high jump (1.97m, 6'5.50"). In the triple jump,
Jayden Leise leaped for a sixth-place finish with a mark of 14.40 meters (47'3").
The Cardinals' 4-by-100-meter relay of
Zach Anderson,
Marcus Caselberry,
Randall Reed, and
Brian Jackson finished in 40.96 seconds. Their finish landed them in seventh place and put them third in the program's top records. Additionally, they rank No. 33 in the nation.
The relay members also achieved success in their respective events. In the 200-meter dash (Collegiate), Reed finished eighth with a 21.35-second time. Jackson took 13th with a 21.55-second time and sits fifth in the program's top records.
Caselberry earned ninth place with 54.39 seconds in the 400-meter hurdles. In the hammer throw (Invite),
Anthony Zajac placed ninth with a toss of 54.23 meters (177'11").
North Central athletes who have qualified for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships will compete in their respective events on Thursday, May 22, through Saturday, May 24, at Spire Sports Complex in Geneva, Ohio.
