JANESVILLE, Wis. (Apr. 18, 2026) - Taking two days to complete 18 holes at Janesville's Riverside Golf Course after heavy overnight rain, the North Central College women's golf team placed 12th in the 18-team, 100-player Spring Fling hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on Friday and Saturday.
Teams advanced through eight or nine holes Friday before play was suspended. Round one was completed Saturday, while round two was cancelled.
Anna Meinhart led the Cardinals with an 80 (+8), highlighted by a front-nine 39, to finish 18th and match her second-best 18-hole score of the season. Mallorie Clifton posted an 84 (+12) for 42nd, followed by Caterina Calabria in 43rd with an 85 (+13). Madison Place added an 87 (+15) to take 56th, and Carley Rogers shot a 90 (+18) to finish 71st.
North Central totaled a 336 (+48) as a team. No. 29 Wisconsin-Stout won the event with a 310, finishing 10 strokes ahead of No. 44 Aurora University. No. 22 Illinois Wesleyan University placed third. UW-Stout's Julia Imai earned medalist honors with an even-par 72.
North Central concludes its 2025-26 season Wednesday at the Spring Shootout, hosted by Millikin University at The Rail Golf Course in Springfield. Play begins at 11 a.m.
