Sept 5, 2026 (Sturtevant, Wis.) The North Central women's golf program competed in the Firebird Fall Invite, a two-day event taking place at Countryside Golf Course and concluding on Saturday at Ives Grove Golf Course. The women placed 7th in the event out of 16 teams.

The Cardinals were led by Anna Meinhart in round 1 who shot an 82 in both rounds one and two, shooting a 164 for the event and tied for the 20th.

Freshman Ansley Ellis made her collegiate debut this weekend and posted the lowest second round score on the team, shooting a 79. Ellis shot a 38 from the front nine, sinking an eight-foot birdie putt on hole three, a par three. Ellis shot par or better from holes two through eight at Ives Grove, her effort allowed her to climb the leaderboard on Saturday, tying for 41^st in the field.

The Cardinals shot a 667, shooting a 346 in round one and found their footing on day two, shaving off 25 strikes from day one and shooting a 321.
Caterina Calabria shot a 165 on the weekend, with two birdies on day two. One of her birdies came on hole 11 where she landed her shot five inches from the cup. Calabria placed T23 overall.

Madison Place shot 167 in 36 holes. She finished her weekend strong, shooting par on the 16^th and 18^th holes, while shooting birdy on 17. Place had the third-lowest score on the team and placed T29 in the event.

Senior Audrey Jaworksy shot a career-low round on Saturday, shooting an 89 at Ives Grove, Jaworsky parred six times, including on back-to-back occasions on holes 16 and 17. Jaworsky placed 64^th in the tournament.

Carley Rogers also shot a one round career-low on Saturday where she shot an 84. Rogers produced 11 pars, including five consecutive pars from holes eight through twelve. Rogers placed 61^st in the event.

The Cardinals are back in action Sept. 12-13 for the Wartburg Fall Invitational in Waverly, Iowa.
