WOODRIDGE, Ill. (Oct. 5, 2014) - The North Central College men's golf team closed its 2014 fall season on Sunday, posting a seventh-place finish in a 13-team field in the Benedictine University Eagle Invitational at Seven Bridges Golf Club.

The Cardinals turned in an 18-hole score of 341 on the par 72, 6,696-yard layout. Elmhurst College claimed the team title with a score of 310, giving the Bluejays a 16-stroke victory over runner-up Aurora University. Judson University's Eric Wessel claimed individual medalist honors, carding a one over-par 73 to win by three strokes.

North Central was led by Lincoln Slagel and Glenn Miller, who finished with identical scores of 80 to tie for 10th place in the 68-man field. Eric Gruber placed 31st with 87 and Kevin Whalen finished 56th with 94.
