DECATUR, Ill. (Apr. 18, 2015) - The North Central College men's golf team placed 10th of 14 squads at the Millikin University Weist Foundation Classic on Saturday after shooting a combined 617 with one golfer placing in the top 25 individually.
The Cardinals shot a 309 in the first round at Hickory Point Golf Course on Friday and changed courses to Red Tail Run Golf Course for Saturday, where they shot 308.Â
Sophomore Lincoln Slagel (150) tied for 21st place individually, shooting a 73 in the first round and following that with a 77 in the second round.Â
Fellow sophomore Raymond Cepele tied for 43rd with teammates Eric Gruber and Glenn Miller aftereach shot 157. Freshmen Felix Valentin (160) and Vincent Vazquez (172) placed 52nd and 69th, respectively, with Vazquez competing as an individual.
The Cardinals continue their season on Tuesday at the Carthage College Spring Invitational in Somers, Wisconsin. They begin the day at 9:00 a.m. and all results can be found at northcentralcardinals.comÂ
