Mar. 30, 2021Â - The North Central College men's golf team persevered through windy conditions to record a fifth-place finish in its lone home tournament of the 2021 spring season, the Naperville Intercollegiate, on Monday at Naperville Country Club.
The Cardinals turned in an 18-hole score of 332 for the afternoon. Aurora University's 'B' team won the event with a score of 316, followed by Aurora's 'A' team with 318, Wheaton College with 319 and North Park University with 327.
North Park's Jack Haberkorn and Wheaton's David Morton shared individual medalist honors with identical scores of 76, while Aurora's Colin Chromy and Craig Schlegel and Wheaton's Cooper Williamson tied for third place with scores of 77.
North Central was led by
Sergio Ronchel Salas, who carded a score of 80 to place 10th.
Braden Estes placed 17th (83), followed by
Tommy Falcone in 18th (84),
Vail Cordell in 25th (85) and
Nicklaus Campanella in 31st (88).Â
The Cardinals return to competiton on Wednesday, Apr. 7, when they travel to D.A. Weibring Golf Course in Normal for the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Preview, hosted by Illinois Wesleyan University.
