Jan. 25, 2021 - Nick Janca, North Central College men's track and field student-athlete, has been awarded this week's College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Field Student-Athlete of the Week, collecting his first award from the CCIW in the 2022 indoor season.    
 
Janca earned this award from his outstanding performance in the Snow Day Invitational Friday at Al B. Carius Track, claiming first place in the high jump recording a jump of 6'6.75".  He outdid his first performance from The Cardinal Opener where he posted a mark of 6'4". 
 
Janca looks to continue his success throughout the indoor season as well as in the upcoming outdoor season.  Janca cleared 6'8.75" during the outdoor season in 2021 and also won the individual high jump title at the CCIW Outdoor Championship in 2021.
 
The Cardinals next event is Jan. 29 hosted by Aurora University at Gately Indoor Track and Field in Chicago, Illinois.
