ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (May 19, 2022) - The North Central College women's track and field team made its final qualifying push for next week's NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships on Thursday, taking part in the Midwest Twilight Qualifier at Augustana College.

Julia Babinec, currently ranked third among all Division III competitors in the 100-meter hurdles, won the event Thursday in a time of 14.24 seconds. Babinec,
Marcedes Jackson,
Lindsey Novak and
Denise Partee placed third in the 4-by-100-meter relay in 46.82 seconds, narrowly missing the season best of 46.81 they set last week.
Faith Ladin achieved a season-best distance of 134 feet, 11 inches (41.13 meters) and placed second in the javelin throw, while
Alexandra Draves' mark of 169'5" (51.65m) earned second place in the hammer throw.
Jackson finished third in the 100-meter dash (12.27), as did Novak in the 200-meter dash (24.73), while
Jenna Fiore placed fifth in the 1,500-meter run (4:40.51).
Qualifiers for next week's Outdoor Championships at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio will be announced Friday via press release at
ncaa.com.
