Perfect Game DIII Rankings/Season Preview

Mar. 2, 2023 - In the first installment of Perfect Game's NCAA Division III Top 25 poll, the North Central College baseball team ranks 11th, the organization released on Wednesday.

The Cardinals are 4-1 on this young season, beating Ripon College and Blackburn College by 10 or more runs on their opening weekend. They also took down DePauw University 8-2 and the College of St. Scholastica 11-3. As a team, they are hitting .273 with a .433 on-base percentage and a .435 slugging percentage. North Central's pitching staff has posted a 1.93 earned run average with 49 strikeouts and held the opposition to a .199 batting average.

Salisbury ranks No. 1 in the Top 25 poll with Baldwin Wallace, Birmingham Southern, LaGrange, and Rowan rounding out the top five. The Cardinals face four other ranked teams in the poll this season, No. 8 Arcadia, No. 10 Webster, No. 15 Aurora, and No. 22 Augustana.
