NAPERVILLE, Ill. (July 21, 2023) - The newly formed College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee met on Wednesday at North Central College to discuss DEI efforts across campuses for the upcoming school year.  
 
Each institution had its committee member in the meeting along with CCIW Commissioner, Mo Harty and Associate Executive Director, Bryan Moore. 
 
The CCIW DEIC will collaborate throughout the yearas needed to discuss matters related to conference-level diversity and inclusion programs and projects. This initial meeting focused on the promotion and branding of DEI efforts both at campuses and from the CCIW.  
 
The CCIW DEI committee features Chad Gunnelson, Augustana College (Head Cross Country and Track & Field Coach); Derek Marie, Carroll University (Head Men's Soccer Coach);  Seth Weidmann, Carthage College (Associate Athletic Director; Associate Head Swimming and Diving Coach); Kayla Johnson, Elmhurst University (Assistant Athletic Trainer); Katie Gonzales, Illinois Wesleyan University (Assistant Athletic Director); Carlton Hall, Millikin University (Head Football Coach); Brian Johnson, North Central College (Assistant Athletic Director for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion); Jasmine Alcala, North Park University (Associate Athletic Trainer); and Stephanie Schmidt, Wheaton College (Head Volleyball Coach)
