Jan. 5, 2024 - The men's volleyball annual pre-season College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Coaches' Poll was announced this morning. The North Central College men's volleyball team has been voted the No. 1 team in the conference.
 
North Central was named No. 1 in the poll after receiving four first-place votes and 23 points. The Cardinals made program history last season after making it to the NCAA Championship match and earning second place. North Central ended the season with an overall record of 25-4 and a perfect 10-0 record in the conference.
 
Carthage College landed in second place with two first-place votes and 22 points. The Firebirds finished the 2023 season with a record of 18-8 after losing to the Cardinals 3-1 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
 
Loras College was not far behind in third with 18 points. North Park University sits fourth in the polls with 12 points, followed by Illinois Wesleyan University with nine points in fifth. Augustana College closes out the poll in sixth with six points.
 
North Central begins its 2024 season on Thursday, Jan. 18, taking on Dominican University at 7 pm in River Forest, Ill.
