MYRTLE BEACH, South Carolina (May 26, 2024) - The North Central College women's track and field team completed their weekend at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field National Championships with three All-Americans and three Second Team All-Americans.
Alexandra Draves was finally able to head to the throwing area on Saturday to compete in her seventh National Championship meet after waiting three days to compete. Unfortunately, Draves' first two tosses were marked as a foul. On her final throw, Draves tossed the hammer 47.27 (155'1") and finished in 19th.
After two rain delays, it was time for
Lindsey Novak to hit the track for the final time in the Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium. Novak crossed the finish line in 55.70 seconds to take seventh place and All-American honors.
On Thursday,
Faith Ladin took fifth place in the javelin throw to earn All-American honors (44.40m, 145'8"), while
Gwen Berenyi tied for eighth place in the pole vault to earn All-American honors (3.81m, 12'6.25"). To read more about Thursday's competition, click

On Friday, the Cardinals 4-by-100 meter relay of
Marcedes Jackson,
Kyla Miller,
Allie Dockins, and
Lindsey Novak took 12th place to earn Second Team All-American honors. Also earning Second Team All-American honors was Jackson in the 100-meter dash and Ladin in the heptathlon. Jackson and Ladin both finished in 11th place. To read more about Friday's competition, click

North Central finished 37th as a team with 6.5 points, while Washington University (Mo.) ran away with the team title with 71 points. The runner-up was UW-La Crosse with 47.5 points, while MIT finished third with 47 points.
