NEW ORLEANS (Oct. 16, 2025) – For the fifth consecutive week, the North Central College men's cross country team has landed the No. 6 spot in the latest United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) weekly coaches' poll. A calm week in NCAA Division III cross country saw the top ten teams in the national rankings stay the same.
The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse tops the rankings with 10 first-place votes and 300 points as Wartburg College trails in second with 290 points and Johns Hopkins University is third with 280 points. New York University sits fourth with 267 points followed by Pomona-Pitzer Colleges in fifth (259) and North Central in sixth (249). SUNY Geneseo (241), Williams College (231), Tufts University (217), and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (212) round out the top 10, respectively.
Wartburg continues to reign the Midwest Region with North Central and the University of Chicago sitting second and third, respectively. Washington University in St. Louis (Mo.) and Loras College rank fourth and fifth in the region.
North Central took last week off from competition with the Cardinals now turning their attention to the Augustana Interregional Invitational where they will go head-to-head with 13 nationally-ranked teams and over 50 regionally-ranked programs across six USTFCCCA regions. Race time on Saturday, Oct. 18 is set for 11 a.m. at Saukie Golf Course.
