2025 CSC Academic All-District At-Large Selections
June 24, 2025 - Six North Central College student-athletes have garnered distinctions from College Sports Communicators for their combined success in the classroom and on their respective field of play. Earning CSC Academic All-District honors is
Casey Aikman (men's wrestling),
Tyler Donovan (men's volleyball),
Zachary Lunde (men's golf),
Jeffrey McEachern (men's volleyball),
Alex Porter (men's lacrosse) and
Dominic Rohrer (men's lacrosse).
To qualify, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50. For wrestling and golf, nominees must be in the lineup for at least 70 percent of team-scored events or compete in their weight class at a conference championship meet. To be eligible in men's volleyball and lacrosse, nominees must compete in 90 percent of the institution's competitions played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's matches.
Aikman, an exercise science major, posted a 27-8 record this season with 13 tech falls, the second most on the team. He won the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Championship at 197 pounds with a 9-7 decision over Jackson Punzel (Wheaton College).Â
Lunde, an entrepreneurship major, fired a season-low 10 in the first round of the Highland Championship on Sept. 1. On the year, he averaged a 76.76, the third-best mark on the team. He played in all 25 rounds for the Cardinals this season.
Donovan, a graduate student, led the team with 553 assists on the year, averaging 9.88 assists per set over his 56 sets played. He also tallied 57 kills, 39 blocks and 16 service aces. McEachern, a biology major, ranked second on the Cardinals with 181 kills. On the year, he recorded 164 digs, 24 blocks and seven aces.
Porter, a communications major, racked up 22 ground balls and seven caused turnovers on the Cardinal defense this season. He started all 13 games with a season-high five ground balls vs DePauw University on Mar. 12. Rohrer, a sport management major, also helped anchor the defense with 21 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers. He picked up a career-high four ground balls vs Benedictine University on Feb. 22.
Aikman advances to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, which will be announced July 9
