2026 North Central Baseball Leadoff Luncheon Registration
Jan. 16, 2026 - The North Central College baseball team hosts its annual Leadoff Luncheon on Sunday, Feb. 1st, to kick off the start of the 2026 Cardinal baseball season. This year's speaker, Mike Kashirsky, currently works for the Chicago White Sox as a Batting Practice Pitcher and Instructor.

Kashirsky has been with the White Sox since 2012, working with players during pregame and in-game sessions to support their preparation and development. His contributions within the organization have earned him the Bo Jackson Courage Award and the Charlie Donovan Passion for the Game Award.
His professional experience also includes time with the Los Angeles Dodgers during Spring Training as a batting practice pitcher and bullpen catcher. From 2008 to 2010, he managed the Windy City ThunderBolts, leading the club to two championships. The organization retired his jersey in recognition of his impact.
Kashirsky's coaching background extends to the collegiate level as well. He served as head coach at Robert Morris University from 2009 to 2011, guiding the program to its first CCAC Tournament Championship and an NAIA National Tournament appearance. His 2011 team set a school record for wins, earning him CCAC Coach of the Year. He previously coached at Moraine Valley Community College and with the Upper Deck Cougars, collecting multiple championships and honors, including Newcomer Coach of the Year and Chicago Pitch and Hit Amateur Coach of the Year.
The event will feature a silent auction, raffle, and an official awards presentation for the 2025 North Central baseball team.
