Sept. 15, 2026 - In the first installment of the 2026 Intercollegiate Women's Soccer Organization for Coaches (IWSOC) DIII Top 25 Coaches Poll in Partnership with United Soccer Coaches (USC), the undefeated North Central College women's soccer team comes in at No. 18, following a 4-0 start to the season.
The Cardinals' early-season success is highlighted by defeating two ranked teams, No. 16 Carleton College and No. 17 Calvin University. Jordan Lange has racked up 15 points (five goals, three assists) so far, with Sissi Loza adding a pair of goals. Lily Mattison and the Cardinal defense have shut out three straight opponents, allowing just one goal on the year.
Lange currently leads all active Division III players with 114 career points and is tied for the lead with 30 assists. Across all divisions, Lange is fourth in points per game (1.81)
Washington University in St. Louis (5-0-0) is the top team in the poll. Tufts University, Washington & Lee, University of Chicago, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology round out the top five.
In the Region VIII poll, the Cardinals are third behind WashU and their Sept. 30 opponent, UChicago. College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin schools Carthage (No. 6), Elmhurst University (No. 7) and Illinois Wesleyan University (No. 8) also appear in the regional top eight.
