BELOIT, Wis. (Oct. 19, 2010)-- Freshman Hope Stayer tallied her second hat-trick of the season as the North Central College women's soccer team dismantled host Beloit College, 4-0, on Tuesday afternoon at Strong Stadium.

The Cardinals (6-8) opened the scoring in the 35th minute with April Kutchinski scoring unassisted, her second goal of the season. North Central remained up just one goal until Stayer scored unassisted three minutes into the second half to push the visitor's buffer to 2-0. Stayer would tally her second score of the day 10 minutes later in the 58th minute off a feed from Tyra Maher before completing the hat-trick in the 69th minute off a Jennifer Guy assist, her team-leading eighth goal of the year.

The hat-trick was Stayer's second of the season. The freshman scored three goals in the Cardinals 5-0 victory over Eureka College (Ill.) on Sept. 18 in the opening round of the Sal Vaccaro Tournament.

The Cardinals outshot the host Buccaneers (3-10-1) by a decisive 20-5 margin, including a 12-2 edge in the second 45 minutes of play.

Amy Frazzini and Shannon Malahy collaborated for the shutout in goal, each recording two saves. Frazzini earns the victory, logging the opening 74 minutes of play while Malahy clocked the final 16 minutes of action. Beloit's Kourtney Kingslien had five saves in the losing effort.

North Central returns to the pitch on Sunday, Oct. 24, hosting Carthage College at 3:30 p.m. inside Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium.
