FORT ATKINSON, Wis. (Oct. 25, 2022) - The North Central College women's bowling team took part in the Warhawk Classic over the past weekend, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. The Cardinals posted a 2-7 record on the weekend to earn sixth place.
Carthage College won the event with a record of 7-2. Whitewater, Marian University, Augustana College, and Elmhurst University rounded out the top five teams.
A total of 54 individuals participated in the tournament. Whitewater's Skye Faar placed first with an average of 195 pins per game and a total pinfall of 975. Followed by Elmhurst's Lorrie Decker (958) and Marian's Brenna Schiekiera (955).
Jessica Ramirez led the Cardinals, placing 11th, with 893 pins knocked over and an average 178.6 per game. The next Cardinal was Kelly Heighway in 30th. Heighway totaled 665 pins knocked over and averaged 166.3 per game. Kaitlin Freundt averaged 169.3 per game and had a total pinfall of 508.
The Cardinals travel to Stardust Bowl in Dyer, Indiana, Friday through Sunday for the Valparaiso University Valpo Bowling Classic.
