NAPERVILLE, Ill (Mar. 21, 2023) - Earning the conference's highest honor,
Jessica Ramirez of the North Central College women's bowling team has been named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Bowler of the Year while
Talia Roti claimed second team honors.
Ramirez, a junior from Lockport, averaged 184.9 pins per game this season. She bowled a career-best 253 in the Storm Flyer Classic on February 12th, placing her sixth in the meet. She holds the top two single-game records for Cardinal bowling as she rolled a 263 during the 2021-22 season. She earned First Team All-CCIW accolades last year as well while being named the conference's First-Year Student-Athlete of the Year a season ago.
Roti, a senior from Homer Glen was named to the All-CCIW Second Team for her performance this season. She has two of the top five single game records in program history with a 246 and 244, both coming last season. Her season high this season is 231 with the second best average on the team of 169.1.
This announcement comes prior to the CCIW Championships, beginning on March 25th. The two-day event will be held at Mardi Gras Lanes in Dekalb, Illinois. The Cardinals earned the No. 4 seed for the event.
