QUINCY, Ill. (Feb. 27, 2023) - The North Central women's bowling team competed at the Hawk Classic hosted by Quincy University this past weekend. The Cardinals went 4-8 finishing in sixth place while
Jessica Ramirez was named to the All-Tournament team with a fifth-place finish.
In the third baker's match, the Cardinals beat Augustana College, winning 869-789. The following baker's match the Cardinals would go on to defeat Illinois Wesleyan University, posting a score of 828-633. On day two in the fifth traditional match, the Cardinals bowled an 812 to defeat Augustana. In the final round of the tournament, the Cardinals won 865-711 over Illinois Wesleyan.
Jessica Ramirez finished fifth in the individual standings with a total score of 951 and posted a team-highest match score of 215. Rounding out the top 25 was
Kelly Heighway (817),
Lily Ratledge (804),
Talia Roti (803) and
Yvette Beltran (794).
The Cardinals are back in action for the CCIW Competition hosted by Elmhurst University for a two-day event starting March 4.
