CCIW Competition #2 Results
ELMHURST, Ill (Mar. 6, 2023) - Claiming a spot in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Tournament for the first time in program history, the North Central College women's bowling team went 4-3 at the second CCIW Competition while
Jessica Ramirez owned the top individual spot with a game average of 196.00.
Ramirez opened play with a 213 in the first of her four games on her way to a first-place finish. Talia Roti claimed sixth place overall with a 180 average. Kelly Heighway finished in 13th place (161.25), Jillian Brinkman in 37th (135.67), and Lily Ratledge in 39th (133.33).
As a team, the Cardinals recorded a total pinfall of 5,661. North Central beat Illinois Wesleyan University, Carroll University, Augustana College, and Elmhurst University for the event.
Carthage and Marian each took home a share of the regular season conference title with Augustana College in fourth and Aurora University in fifth. Aurora will be the three-seed at the conference tournament. The Cardinals earned the four-seed in the CCIW Tournament on March 25th.
North Central competes at ISC Sectionals next weekend in their final event before the conference tournament. The two-day event begins on Saturday, March 11th.
