Jan. 19, 2024 – The North Central College men's track and field team competed in the Aurora Grand Prix with Marcus Caselberry breaking the program's freshman record in the 200-meter dash.

North Central had a record-setting showing from Caselberry with 22.05 seconds finishing first in the 200-meter dash, which ranks third in the all-time top ten. This marks Caselberry's second freshman record broken after his 60-meter dash (6.94) last week at the Cardinal Opener. Caselberry went on to finish fourth in the 60-meter hurdle (8.53) and seventh in the men's 400-meter run (50.05).

The Cardinals also took home third and fourth-place finishes in the mile run as Connor Riss placed third (4:21.53) and Logan Tanttu finished fourth (4:22.47).

The Cardinals continue the weekend at home in the annual Pat Heenan Invitational at Al B. Carius Track on Saturday. The meet is set to start at 10:30 a.m. Click HERE for links to live coverage and meet information.
