2025 All-CCIW Women's Soccer Teams
NAPERVILLE, Ill. (Oct. 31, 2025) – An undefeated finish in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin regular season has resulted in seven All-Conference selections and three specialty award winners for the North Central College women's soccer team.
The Cardinals recently completed their second perfect 8-0 season in program history with a 2-0 win over Wheaton College on Wednesday, Oct. 29. Along with the CCIW Regular Season title, North Central locked in the No. 1 seed for the 2025 CCIW Tournament. Through eight conference matches, the Cardinals led the league with 26 goals scored and 20 assists for a 9.00 points-per-game average. North Central's defense allowed only three goals in conference play for a .375 goals-against average.
Sophomore
Lily Mattison reeled in the Goalkeeper of the Year award and First Team All-CCIW honors for her exception performances in goal. These awards come a year after Mattison was named the First-Year Student-Athlete of the Year and a second team selection in 2024. Mattison recorded five shutouts against conference opponents, allowing just three goals. She leads the league with a .381 goals-against average and a .857 save percentage.
Senior
Kassandra Salviola became the first three-time recipient of the Defensive Student-Athlete of the Year award in CCIW history. She earned her third straight First Team All-CCIW honor after helping anchor an impressive Cardinal defense. Through eight contests, North Central's defense allowed just three goals. In addition to being a defensive threat, Salviola also scored a pair of goals against the conference. She was the CCIW Defensive Player of the Week just last week (Oct. 28).
Junior
Jordan Lange was named the 2025 Offensive Student-Athlete of the Year after a dominant performance against conference opponents. The 2023 First-Year Student-Athlete of the Year also claims the second All-CCIW First Team honor of her career. Lange led the Cardinals with 15 points in CCIW action with five goals and five assists. She was awarded the CCIW Offensive Player of the Week award twice this season (Oct. 14 and Oct. 28).
Earning the first All-CCIW award of her career is
Kara Waishwell, as she was named to the first team. The midfielder had the second-most points on the team in conference play with 12, scoring four goals and contributing four assists. Waishwell sits fourth in the conference in both assists and points.
Junior midfielder
Madison DeVriendt nets the second First Team All-CCIW nod of her career after scoring eight points in CCIW matches by way of two goals and four assists. She played all but one conference game but still ranked third in the league for assists and sixth in points.
Sophomore defender
Mackenzie Loomis was named to the All-CCIW Second Team for her first All-CCIW award. Along with Salviola, Loomis played a crucial role in limiting its conference opponents to just three goals scored while scoring one of her own.
Junior
Gabriella Mattio earned Second Team All-CCIW honors for the first conference award of her career. Mattio sealed her all-conference bid after scoring both goals in the Cardinals' 2-0 regular season finale against Wheaton. She tallied four goals in CCIW play as she sits sixth in league standings for goals scored.
The CCIW also announced the nine winners of its RESPECT Award for the season. RESPECT Award recipients have distinguished themselves as an integral member of the team, their institution, and community by upholding the values of Responsibility, Enthusiasm, Service, Pride, Excellence, Collaboration, and Trust. The RESPECT Award recognizes the intangible traits a student-athlete possesses that exemplify great character and encourages inclusiveness and a positive culture. Senior
Holly Helmers was named North Central's CCIW RESPECT Award recipient.
As the No. 1 seed in the CCIW Tournament, North Central has earned a quarterfinal bye and will host the winner of the No. 5 Wheaton and No. 4 Illinois Wesleyan game on Wednesday, Nov. 5.
