Bolingbrook, Ill. (Apr. 22, 2025) - In their second-to-last event of the season, the North Central College women's golf team hosted the Cardinal Classic at Bolingbrook Golf Club, taking sixth place in the two-day event. 

As a team, the Cardinals shot 333 on Monday in cold and windy conditions before firing a 348 on Tuesday to compile a 681 team score, good for a sixth-place finish. Madison Place was the top North Central golfer in the event, finishing in eighth place with a 159 (+15) for the event. Mallorie Clifton (167, +23), Anna Meinhart (175, +31), and Tatiana Cooper (180, +36) rounded out the team score. Caterina Calabria shot a 183 (+39) as well. 

The Cardinals entered a North Central "B" team in the tournament, taking 10th place. Aleksa Gizewicz led the squad with a 172 (+28) while Jessica Wise (190, +46), Audrey Haworsky (198, +54), and Annika Ebey (204, +60) combined for the 10th-place finish.

Washington University in St. Louis won the team title with a team score of 615 (+39) while the Bears' Amy Beanblossom fired a 149 (+5) for the two days to earn the individual crown.

North Central wraps up its 2024-25 season by competing in Millikin University's Take Back the Night Challenge beginning on Friday, Apr. 25. Day one is at Red Tail Run GC, while day two will take place at South Side Country Club, both in Decatur, Ill.
