NCAA Regional Rankings
Oct. 31, 2019 - The North Central College women's soccer team has debuted in the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Central Regional Rankings this week for the first time in program history, coming in at no. 6, the NCAA announced Wednesday.
The second installment of the NCAA's version of weekly regional rankings show games through Oct. 27, in which the Cardinals were 9-7-1, with a 5-3 record within the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW). North Central currently sits third in the CCIW standings with their in-conference record, already having clinched a spot in the CCIW tournament, set to be played on Nov. 6.
Other CCIW members in the regional rankings are the two teams ahead of them in the conference standings in Illinois Wesleyan University, coming in at no. 4, and Wheaton College at no. 2. Washington University in St. Louis is the top ranked team in the region, compiling a record of 13-1-1 this season.
The Cardinals completed their regular season schedule against University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh last night, dropping the contest 5-1. They look forward to Nov. 6, when they take on either Illinois Wesleyan University or Wheaton College in the first round of the CCIW Tournament, depending on this weekend's games.
